Here’s a rundown of the things you’ll need to make these items yourself. Luckily, you probably have these supplies around your house already!
- Microfiber cloth
- Glass Jar
- Spray bottles
- White vinegar
- Distilled water
- Baking soda
- Lemon essential oil
- Tea Tree essential oil (melaleuca)
- Optional oils: white fir, lime, grapefruit, peppermint
- Unscented liquid Castile soap
- Olive oil
- Rubbing alcohol
- Cornstarch
Natural Carpet Cleaner
Here’s what you’ll need:
- 1 cup baking soda
- 10 drops of tea tree essential oil
- 10-15 drops of lemon essential oil
- 1 glass jar
Mix all of the ingredients together and put into your jar (a mason jar or any other glass jar with a lid will work). Let the ingredients sit for at least 12 hours before using. When you’re ready to use it, dust it across your carpet, let it sit for 15-20 minutes and then vacuum it up.
Natural Mildew Spray

- 5 drops of lemon essential oil
